OLATHE, Kan./PR Newswire/February 14, 2007 — Garmin International Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRMN), today announced that it will become an associate sponsor of the No. 66 Haas CNC Racing team in the 2007 Nextel Cup Series with driver Jeff Green. Electronics retailer Best Buy is the car’s primary sponsor.

“This sponsorship makes perfect sense for Garmin. Many of our customers and associates are among the 75 million brand-loyal fans who follow NASCAR closely, and partnering with one of our major retailers affords us synergies that we simply can’t get elsewhere.” said Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice president of worldwide sales. “Teaming with NASCAR will help race fans realize that Garmin can make their lives easier and more enjoyable – whether it’s on a race weekend road trip, a day on the water, or while enjoying the great outdoors.”

The Garmin logo will be prominent on the No. 66 car as well as on driver and crew uniforms and support vehicles throughout the 2007 season. Additionally, the Best Buy Fun Zone Technology truck, which makes appearances at races, will feature an interactive Garmin kiosk. The No. 66 car will also make appearances at select Best Buy stores along with specially-designed Garmin point-of-purchase displays. When NASCAR comes to the Kansas Speedway on September 30, 2007, Garmin will serve as the primary sponsor.

“We’re thrilled to have Garmin on board the No. 66 car,” said Barry Judge, senior vice president of marketing, Best Buy. “This sponsorship is a great way to raise awareness among race fans of Garmin’s products, and reminds consumers that many of those products are available through Best Buy. Everyone at Best Buy has been extremely pleased with our racing sponsorship, and we’re certain Garmin will be as well.”

Garmin is the premier provider of GPS (Global Positioning System) enabled devices and a leading designer and manufacturer of consumer electronics. Available at Best Buy, Garmin’s nüvi® and StreetPilot® personal navigation devices are the standard by which others are judged – thanks to their elegant design, simple user interface, and rich set of features. Garmin also manufactures a variety of state-of-the-art GPS enabled products for boaters, hikers, hunters, runners, cyclists, and pilots.

“I’m proud to have Garmin on the Haas CNC racing team,” said Jeff Green. “With support from some of the world’s top consumer electronics brands, 2007 is shaping up to be a banner year and we’re confident we’ll be spending some time in victory lane.”

A native of Owensboro, Ken., Jeff Green won the 2000 Busch Series championship and has five top-five and 13 top-ten career finishes in Nextel Cup competition. The Haas CNC Racing team is owned by Gene Haas, who founded Haas Automation in 1983 – the largest machine tool manufacturer in the United States.
